The 2025 Ford F-150 is here! This truck has been a staple for 77 years, and that certainly isn’t ending anytime soon. Whether you’re looking for more power, advanced technology, or a durable workhorse that can handle any task, the 2025 Ford F-150 has it all. There weren’t a ton of updates between the 2024 and 2025 model year, but let’s walk through the standout features on this truck with Jeff Belzer’s Ford.
Design
As we mentioned, there weren’t any cosmetic updates to the 2025 model year. In 2024, Ford refreshed the exterior with a new grille design, wheel patterns, headlights, taillights, and front bumper. We see the same design as last year, but it’s always worth mentioning the key features that make the F-150 stand out from its competitors.
Pro Access Tailgate: This is a really neat feature that is not available on every trim. It still can function as a traditional tailgate, but you also have the option to open it horizontally. The center section of the tailgate is able to swing open to the right by 100-degrees. This allows you to get closer to the truck to easily load or unload your cargo.
LED Lighting: LED headlamps are standard on every trim level and Ford offers available LED fog lamps to help cut through the mist on foggy days. One cool thing about these headlights is that when you put your blinker on, they swivel up to 15 degrees to help light up the area around curves. This is through their LED Dynamic Bending Headlamps.
Seating and Storage: You can easily flip up the back seats for extra cargo space if need be. There is also available lockable storage underneath the seats so that you can keep valuables hidden and locked up.
Pro Power Onboard: If you’re not near a power source, no worries! The F-150 comes with three available outputs that you can monitor on your truck’s screen: 2.0kW, 2.4kW, or 7.2kW. Depending on what output you have, there are between 4-6 12V/20A outlets throughout the bed and cab of the truck.
Technology
The 2025 F-150 has a host of standard technologies designed to make your life more convenient as the driver. On the 12-inch digital cluster in front of the driver, you will see speed, RPM, fuel levels, and other important information. You will also see another 12-inch screen in the center that controls the climate, settings, music, and more. There is also a very clear, high-resolution display on this screen when going in reverse or towing. Let’s go through some of the other features.
Ford BlueCruise: This driver-assistance feature allows you to drive on the highway hands-free. It will control the steering, braking and acceleration, and lane-centering for you. They do have an important safety feature to ensure you are still paying attention to the road. There is a camera that is facing the driver that will monitor your eye gaze and head position. If the vehicle notices that you aren’t paying attention, an alert will go off.
Heads-Up Display: Instead of looking down at the digital cluster, the heads-up display will project important information directly onto the windshield. This information includes your speed along with the speeding limit, and you can adjust what information you see through the settings.
Ford Co-Pilot360: This includes a suite of features designed to help you in every part of your journey. They include Blind Spot Assist, Reverse Brake Assist (automatically applies the brakes if it detects a risk), Adaptive Cruise Control, and Pre-Collision Assist (detects a potential collision ahead and alerts the driver with flashes and sounds and applies the brakes if needed). Other features are 360-Degree Camera System, Intersection Assist, and Exit Warning.

If you’re trailering something with your F-150, Ford has a variety of standard features that will make your life easier. The Pro Trailer Backup Assist allows you to turn a knob in the direction that you want the trailer to go, and it’ll move the truck and trailer into position. With the Pro Trailer Hitch Assist, an overhead view of your truck’s hitch will display on the screen and your truck will do the hard work for you by steering, driving, and braking so that your hitch is aligned with your trailer. Switching lanes with a trailer can be difficult, but with BLIS (Bling Spot Information System) with Trailer Coverage, you will be notified when a car is alongside your trailer, not just in your vehicle’s blind spot.
There are also 7 available drive modes so that you feel confident in whatever road or weather conditions you find yourself in. You’ll see that there are also a few different off-road modes, perfect for any adventure. The drive modes are Normal, Slippery, Sport, Tow/Haul, Off-Road, Rock Crawl, and Baja.
