2026 Sheriff’s Youth Project Hunt: A Day Outdoors for a Lasting Impact

A day in the field can support something that reaches far beyond it. On Tuesday, October 27, 2026, our Jeff Belzer’s team joined supporters at Traxler’s Hunting Preserve in Le Center, Minnesota, for the 2026 Sheriff’s Youth Project Hunt. Officially the 23rd Annual Pat W. Smith, Sr. Memorial Hunt, the fundraiser brought people together around a shared purpose: supporting opportunities and resources for Minnesota youth.
From the hunting dogs getting ready to head into the field to our team’s group photo, the images below capture a look back at the day—and the cause behind it.

Looking Back at the 2026 Sheriff’s Youth Project Hunt
For our team, the trip to Traxler’s was another opportunity to step away from the dealership and take part in a local tradition with a meaningful purpose.
The memorial hunt is an annual fundraising event for the Sheriff’s Youth Project of Le Sueur County. It brings supporters together for a day of hunting and shooting while helping the organization continue its work for young people.

In the Field at Traxler’s
The photos tell this part of the story best: hunters making their way across the field, a guide directing attention toward a pointing dog, and the open landscape surrounding the group.

The Dogs at Work
The hunting dogs have their own place in the day’s story. One photo catches them jumping out of the truck, ready to head into the field. Another shows the guide pointing hunters toward a dog on point—a moment that brings the group’s attention together.

The Purpose Behind the Hunt
As much as the event is about time outdoors, its purpose reaches beyond the preserve.
The Sheriff’s Youth Project of Le Sueur County is a nonprofit focused on supporting young people in need of services. The organization partners with schools and community organizations to provide after-school programs and encourages people to get involved through volunteering, donations, and events.
The memorial hunt is one way supporters can contribute to that work. SYP’s proceeds are directed toward youth organizations and causes, helping those in need around our communities.
For Jeff Belzer’s, that connection is what gives the day its meaning. Enjoying the outdoors together is rewarding on its own. Doing so in support of opportunities for young people makes it more meaningful. “It’s for the kids!”
The Jeff Belzer’s Team at Traxler’s
Our team was glad to be back at Traxler’s for this year’s fundraiser. The Sheriff’s Youth Project of LeSueur County is a long-time partnership for the Belzer organization, and we’re grateful for the opportunity to continue supporting these powerful initiatives. Supporting our communities is about more than what happens at our stores. It also means showing up for organizations working to make a difference in the lives of the people around us.

Thank You for Supporting the Mission
Thank you to the Sheriff’s Youth Project for bringing supporters together, to Traxler’s Hunting Preserve and the guides for their part in the day, and to everyone who supported the fundraiser.
