The wait will soon be over to experience the 2025 Chevrolet Equinox. Expected to arrive mid-2024, the excitement is building for consumers and dealers alike. The all-new Equinox boasts a sleek, dynamic exterior that looks similar to the Traverse. There is also a brand new trim level along with a two-tone roof available. Jeff Belzer’s is excited to walk you through the features of this vehicle, including exterior, interior, trim levels, technology, and safety. You’ll be impressed with the updates made on this crossover SUV. Let’s get into it!

Exterior & Interior

Exterior

From the outside, the 2025 Chevy Equinox looks sleek, powerful, and confident. The vehicle’s strong, sharp lines give it a more chiseled look than the rounded exterior in year’s past. The headlights are also thinner and more stylish, giving it a modern look. There is one new exterior feature that is sure to be the crowd-favorite: each trim has a grill and front fascia design that is unique. This means that each trim level has its own distinct look to the front end, elevating each option in its own way. The last exterior feature to mention is the two-tone roof. You have the option to switch up the roof color from the main color of the vehicle. It is available in black or white on select trim levels and colors to add even more of a wow factor. Visit Chevrolet’s website for a full range of body colors and their corresponding roof options.

Interior

The inside of the 2025 Equinox is as luxe as the outside. Depending on the trim level, you can expect to see stylish accents on the dash and premium seating, although all trims are exquisitely designed to impress. Let’s discuss the upholstery options and cargo space available.

  • Seating: The RS and ACTIV trim levels both come with standard Evotex seating, and ACTIV adds in suede elements as well. What is Evotex? This is a synthetic material that is stain and spill resistant, wear-resistant, and easy to clean. It is perfect for all families out there! The LT trim comes standard with cloth seating.
  • Cargo Space: There is an impressive 63.5 cubic feet of cargo space in the 2025 Equinox, with a folding 60/40 split-bench seat. In addition to this, there is a hidden storage compartment underneath the rear cargo floor. This allows for extra storage and helps keep items out of view if needed. For easy access to the trunk space, there is a Hands-Free Autosense Power Liftgate.

Safety

Safety for you and your family has been Chevy’s top priority for years now. This is why the 2025 Equinox will come standard with important features to help you stay safe and aware on the road. One of these features is called HD Surround Vision (3). There are sensors all around the outside of the vehicle that allow you to get a full 360 view of the area surrounding you. When you are in a parking spot, the cameras will show you views from the front, back, and even an aerial view so that you can see where you are in relation to other cars. It will also alert you when you are getting close to something both in drive and in reverse. Along with HD Surround Vision, the Equinox also comes standard with Chevy Safety Assist (4), which is a package of 6 key features.

  1. Automatic Emergency Braking (3): This feature will detect a potential collision and will automatically apply the brakes to avoid a crash or lessen the severity.
  2. Front Pedestrian Braking (3): This is similar to automatic emergency braking, but is used to detect when a pedestrian is directly in front of you. It will alert you and apply hard emergency braking if necessary.
  3. Lane Keep Assist with Lane Departure Warning (3): With Lane Departure Warning, your vehicle will alert you if you are veering into another lane. Lane Keep Assist goes a step further in that it will gently turn the wheel to stay in the lane if it detects you drifting.
  4. Forward Collision Alert (3): This feature has two aspects to it. One is the Tailgating Alert, which will turn your display icon yellow if the vehicle senses that you are following the leading vehicle too closely. The other part is the Collision Alert itself. If the vehicle in front of you abruptly slows down or you are approaching them too quickly, it will display a red icon and you will hear a beeping noise.
  5. Following Distance Indicator (3): With this feature, it will display the following time in seconds between your vehicle and the vehicle in front of you. This is to ensure you maintain a safe following distance. You must go into the settings to manually turn this feature on.
  6. Intellibeam: Your high beams will go on and off automatically depending on the traffic around you.

The arrival of the 2025 Chevrolet Equinox is just around the corner. With a slight redesign of the body to give it a more sharp, bold look along with unique grilles and a two-tone roof, this SUV will be sure to stand out.
