Although summer is the busiest time for events at Jeff Belzer’s, our support for organizations within the community spans year-round. Read below for a recap of our sponsorships for the end of September:

BHVC Golf Tournament: The Brett Hack Vasculitis Charities is a non-profit dedicated to helping those diagnosed with vasculitis find resources and support as well as promote awareness of this disease. What is vasculitis? It is a rare autoimmune disease that causes inflammation of the blood vessels and has no cure. Another initiative of BHVC is to provide funding for vasculitis research, and one way they did this is through a benefit golf tournament. BHVC partnered with Creeks Bend Golf Course in New Prague to host their first annual BHVC golf tournament, and Jeff Belzer’s was a proud sponsor of this event. The day turned out exceptional, with beautiful weather and 108 golfers playing in the tournament! Congratulations on a successful day; we loved being a part of it! If you are interested in this organization and their cause and want to be involved, visit their website to learn how to become a volunteer or donate.

Flannel Fest: Every year, the Alpha Women’s Center holds a fundraiser called Flannel Fest. This year, it took place on September 30th, and featured food, music, and activities for the entire family to enjoy. The goal was to raise money for the organization through donations and a silent auction. These proceeds go directly to supporting women through their medical services, support services, and life coaching programs, all offered at no charge. There are a few Alpha Women’s Center locations throughout the Twin Cities, and they even have a mobile “Miracle Machine” that allows the organization to serve women and overcome the transportation barrier. Jeff Belzer’s made a monetary donation to the Alpha Women’s Center through their Flannel Fest, and if you want to support them as well, visit their website.

New Prague Homecoming Parade: Although the skies looked dreary, the rain held off for the New Prague Homecoming Parade! The parade featured over 15 floats, including the football team, dance team, German club, and many other school clubs, sports, and activities. Jeff Belzer’s drove a truck in the parade, carrying the Homecoming King, Queen, and Princess. The truck was right behind the band, so we enjoyed upbeat music throughout the ride while waving to the students, teachers, and community members lining the streets to celebrate the Trojan spirit! New Prague played Rochester in the Homecoming football game and won 45-6. Great work, Trojans!
